1,000 Prize Filled Balloons Drop Nightly at Midnight

The Midnight Loot Drop is an ALL-CON tradition going back 2018, replacing the Pinata Frenzy that had been the original ALL-CON Midnight Fetaure since the first convention in 2005!

Originally 300 balloons nightly in 2018, the balloon count has continued to increase annually until it reached the maximum size of 1,000 BPN (Balloons Per Night) in 2026.
Every balloon is stuffed by ALL-CON volunteers in advance of the convention and the nightly allotment are inflated and tied by volunteers mere hours before the drop takes place.
Originally held at the balcony over the Hilton Lakeside Foyer from 2021-2023, the drop was moved to the balcony over the Hilton Lincoln Foyer in 2024 to acccomodate the increase in audience size.
The Loot Drop name is used instead of "balloon drop" because prior to the prize filled balloons being released, more than 100 small toys and plush animals are tossed down to the waiting crowd as a warm-up activity.
